Welcome to the new Donaldson Run Civic Association web page! This site was created to provide information about DRCA to our neighbors. Newsletter: The Current is published 4-5 times a year by Donaldson Run Civic Association (DRCA) volunteers and is distributed free of charge to all households within the DRCA boundaries. The membership of DRCA supports a newsletter as the best way to keep our neighbors informed of the many local and regional issues that concern us. Membership dues and contributions cover the cost of printing and mailing. Current members receive the newsletter via First Class (1-2 day delivery) and the rest are sent out Bulk Rate (5-10 day delivery). DRCA Dues: Dues are due! Not a current member? Join now for 2010 ($15 per household per year). A dues application can be found in each issue of The Current. Click here for a membership application. Email List: If you would like to be placed our our email list for periodic announcements concerning the neighborhood, email

On August 16, 2010, the following email was sent by Anne Wilson to the Donaldson Run Military Road Group and Traffic Commitee: All: The bulk of the work repaving Military road has been completed with the exception of the safety features added in temporary form last winter. Staff has identified a source of funding to construct medians and nubs in the area of Military near the school, and the work could be done this fall. The good news is that the structures would not be the ugly temporary structures that deteriorated so badly during last winter, but rather would be concrete structures like other medians and nubs that you see around the county.

Dear Donaldson Run Resident, Arlington County’s Department of Environmental Services (DES) will begin major improvements to eleven lift stations on the wastewater collection system beginning January 2010. Two of the lift stations are located in your neighborhood at 2929 North Military Road and 2685 Marcey Road. The lift stations will be improved to accommodate new pumps, valves, odor control, and ventilation systems. The size of the lift station structures will remain the same. Please click here for additional information. Phil Loar
